Window tint
How dark can I legally tint my windows in Delaware?
In Delaware, your front side windows have to let in at least 50% of light, while your back side windows and rear window can be any darkness. Windshield tint is allowed above the AS-1 line. Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey each have their own limits, and the law that applies is the one in the state your vehicle is registered in. See tint laws by state.
How much does window tint cost?
A full tint starts at $200 with C2 Carbon and $300 with Apex Ultra Ceramic. Most sedans and SUVs are $250 carbon or $375 ceramic. Prices depend on your vehicle and how many windows it has. See all tint prices.
What’s the difference between carbon and ceramic tint?
Both block over 99% of UV rays. Carbon tint’s heat blocking depends on how dark you go, while ceramic tint targets infrared heat directly, so even a light ceramic shade keeps your car cooler than a dark carbon one. We install GeoShield C2 Carbon and Apex Ultra Ceramic. Compare carbon and ceramic.
Is ceramic tint worth it?
If you want the coolest car possible, yes. Apex Ultra Ceramic blocks up to 96% of infrared heat, even in our lightest 70% shade, so your A/C doesn’t have to work as hard and you stay comfortable all year. It’s also the best choice for a light, legal front window. See the numbers for every shade.
Do you install dyed tint?
No. Dyed tint is cheap, but it blocks virtually no heat and can fade and turn purple over time. We only install GeoShield carbon and ceramic films because we wouldn’t want dyed tint on our own vehicles.
Can I roll my windows down right after tint?
Yes, right away. We’re not like other shops that make you wait 2 to 3 days. Read our tint aftercare.
Is it normal to see haze or small water spots after tint?
Yes. A little haze or a few small water pockets can show up while the film finishes drying, and they clear up on their own as it cures, usually faster in warm, sunny weather. If anything is still there after a few weeks, let us know.
Will tint affect my phone, GPS or keyless entry?
No. Our GeoShield carbon and ceramic films don’t contain metal, so they won’t interfere with your phone, GPS, radio or keyless entry.
Can I see what a tint shade looks like before I book?
Yes. Our tint visualizer lets you try every shade we offer on the front and rear windows, and checks whether your setup is legal in your state. Try the tint visualizer.
Can I get a medical exemption for darker tint?
Medical exemptions are available, but the rules and paperwork vary by state, so check with your state before you book. See tint laws by state.
Does your window tint come with a warranty?
Yes. Every tint install comes with a lifetime warranty that covers discoloration, peeling, bubbling and more. See our tint warranty.
Wraps
How much does a car wrap cost?
A full vehicle wrap starts at $3,100, compared to $10,000 or more for a quality paint job. Every vehicle is different, so request a quote for an exact price. Compare wrap vs. paint.
How long does it take to wrap a car?
A full wrap usually takes 1 to 2 weeks, compared to about a month for a new paint job. Partial wraps take less time.
How long does a car wrap last?
Wrap films are rated for about 5 to 12 years depending on the color and finish. Sun exposure and how you care for it make the biggest difference. See what affects how long a wrap lasts.
Will a wrap damage my paint?
No. A wrap over healthy factory paint actually protects it from light scratches, chips and the sun, and it can be removed when you’re ready for a change. Learn more.
Can I take my wrapped car through a car wash?
Hand washing with a pH-neutral soap is best. Skip automatic car washes with brushes, and keep a pressure washer at least a foot away from the edges of the film. Read our wrap aftercare.
Can I wrap a leased car?
Usually, yes. A wrap covers the factory paint without changing it and can be removed before you turn the car in. Check your lease agreement first, just to be sure.
What colors can I choose from?
Hundreds. We wrap with Avery Dennison, 3M, KPMF and ORAFOL films in gloss, satin, matte, metallic, color shift and textured finishes. Browse all 580 colors online, then stop by to see them in person in our swatch books. Browse wrap colors.
Can I wrap just part of my car?
Yes. A gloss black roof, a wrapped hood or trunk, or a chrome delete are all popular ways to change the look for less. We also do custom printed wraps. See full and partial wrap options.
Can I get a ceramic coating on my wrap?
Yes. A ceramic coating made for vinyl makes your wrap easier to keep clean. We work with a trusted detailer who can coat your wrap after install. Read our wrap aftercare.
Does your wrap come with a warranty?
Yes. Every wrap we install is backed by our 1-year warranty. See our wrap warranty.
Aftermarket lighting
Is underglow legal in Delaware?
Underglow, rock lights and light bars are best saved for off-road, parked or at the show. Delaware doesn’t allow flashing lights while driving or red lights facing forward, and blue, red and green flashing lights are reserved for emergency vehicles. See the basics of Delaware’s lighting rules.
What’s the difference between rock lights and underglow?
Rock lights are small, waterproof LED pods mounted in the wheel wells and along the frame that light up the ground, tires and suspension, and they’re a favorite on Jeeps and trucks. Underglow uses LED strips under the body to put a glow around the whole car. See all the lighting we install.
Can I change the color of my lights from my phone?
Yes. Color-changing kits let you pick colors and control your lights from an app on your phone. We can also wire them to a switch.
Do you install headlights and cab lights?
Yes. We install LED headlight and fog light upgrades, and cab lights for trucks in amber or smoked lenses. See all the lighting we install.
Can you fix a lighting install someone else did?
Yes. If you’ve got a messy kit someone else put in, we’ll rip it out and redo it the right way. See how we install lighting.
Does your lighting come with a warranty?
Yes. Every lighting install is backed by our 1-year craftsmanship warranty, plus the manufacturer’s warranty on the lights themselves. See our lighting warranty.
